Dr. Ken Sanchez
Dr. Ken Sanchez, business partner of Performance Potential, has extensive, progressive, management experience and a demonstrated record of success in leading sales and marketing functions and driving sales growth in international markets within the pharmaceutical industry. He is recognized for effectiveness in converting strategy into action within a global matrix environment and a unique ability to collaborate productively across multiple functions, organizational levels and cultures.
Ken is well known in the pharmaceutical industry for his Process Improvement Excellence. He is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and in Change Execution Management. Ken’s leadership success in portfolio management led to millions of dollars in revenue enhancement, expense reduction and cost structure efficiency.
At Merck, Ken designed and developed a total account call process, maximizing sales rep time in the field and increasing revenue by $56M. This contribution helped garner Merck’s US Market Customer Focus Sigma Award in 2010. Ken also designed a process to continue marketing a therapeutic drug for osteoporosis through the creation of a National Business Group with a direct P&L impact of $71M. Ken has demonstrated excellence in an array of other areas, including a process related to samples delivery, resulting in $8.6M in revenue enhancement.
On the cost containment side, Ken designed a process for
sales force optimization, thereby reducing expenses by $176M. He has
also had success in adjacent activities, including developing a process
to integrate brands strategies, which reduced promotional cost by
$43M. In addition, he developed and implemented a process to optimize US Pharma
Regional Offices, thereby reducing cost structure by $35M.
Ken has
effectively managed Sales and Marketing forces over 1000 Sales Reps and
Business Managers. He has specialized in leading Latin American
initiatives and launches. Ken is Fluent in English and Spanish;
proficient in Portuguese.
Ken is an Academic Professor and Program Coordinator for the Pharmaceutical curriculum at Tecnologigo De Monterrey, Mexico, and provides consulting services on continuous process improvements for pharmaceutical companies in Latin America. Previously, Ken earned his M.D. from Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico and his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University. In his free time, Ken is on the Board of Directors of numerous charities including serving as a Director of Rotary Club North Hunterdon.
